Sunday Tritan was part of a Court of Honor for Boy Scouts and received his Tenderfoot. I got a pin, but honestly it all goes to Brian and Tritan. (I'm not even sure what he had to do to be a Tenderfoot.) Honestly, it's great that Brian is Tritan's 11-year-old scout master. He isn't always able to be there because he is out of town but he always tries to make it when he is in town--which isn't an easy feat. I think it's been a good experience to spend more time together. Tritan sure seems to be more excited about scouts this year. Next weekend they are going on a Klondike Derby (whatever that is) with the older scouts. (I'm just glad that as a woman I cannot be roped into camping in FEBRUARY!!)
Awww, those are sweet pictures! Way to go Tritan. Brian looks so proud - and all decked out in his Scouting get-up. I am at a loss with Scouting- since we had no brothers and Scouting was this mystery we never had to deal with. Has mom ever been a den mother? you would think we would know something about this . . . .
ReplyDeleteYou would think I would know something about this, since I have kids in Scouts, but I still only have an inkling of what Cub Scouts do.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation to Tritan, and Brian for all the help and support he is to Tritan in scouting. It is so important to the child to have supportive parents to help them achieve their awards.
ReplyDeleteLet us know how the Klondike Derby goes.
I am not sorry I missed out on scouting but I think of all the years I did 4-H and helped with YW projects must count for something.
No matter the sex all children need support to achieve in their own way as they grow. The success of the child will be a blessing to the
child and the parent. Mom
